About the Jobs Academy Group Agreement
When you join Jobs Academy, you become part of a community built on mutual respect and shared growth.
To keep this space valuable and inspiring for everyone taking part in our program, we expect all Jobs Academy members to uphold our Group Agreement and help nurture a positive, supportive, and enriching environment.
If you have any questions, you can visit the Jobs Academy Help Centre here.

What we expect from your program engagement
Get involved
We’re a community of tremendously talented and passionate people. Don’t hold back in sharing your knowledge and being part of the conversation. If you’re new, say hello and get involved!
While we encourage involvement and sharing, it is up to you whether you would like to share or not.
Keep it friendly
Keep your comments (verbal and written) kind and be respectful of other participants. Be open and understanding of others who may have a different opinion to you.
Respect lived experience of discrimination
We are working actively to create a space where people with lived experience of discrimination are respected and not subjected to further marginalisation. This means comments that could be considered ‘microaggressions’ are also not acceptable.
Examples of comments that will not be tolerated could include negative comments about something that is a part of who someone is (for example, an accent, a stutter, or their appearance) or denial of their identity and lived experiences (for example, their ethnicity, or deliberately or continuously misgendering an individual).
Focus on professional challenges and take care when talking about personal challenges
We know that professional and personal challenges are often deeply intertwined. Our team is always here to support you, but Jobs Academy is a learning space rather than a therapeutic space. For this reason we focus on overcoming professional challenges in events and group discussions.
We encourage you to share your learnings with others, and thoughtfully consider the forum is appropriate for the level of personal detail you wish to share. It is important to recognise that something that feels easy for you to discuss at this point in your life may be a challenging disclosure for another to hear
Your wellbeing is our priority and there will be instances where external professional support may be the best way forward. Our team has compiled a detailed list of external support services, run by experienced mental health professionals, which is available on your dashboard.
No hate speech or bullying
We’re committed to creating a space where everyone feels safe to participate. Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated, nor will degrading comments regarding race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity.
Respect everyone’s privacy
Trust is the foundation of our community, which is why we operate under Chatham House Rules. This means you are free to use the knowledge and insights gained here, but what is shared within our events and Facebook group stays here. Please do not share screenshots, quotes, or personal details about other members outside of Jobs Academy.
Additionally, Be mindful of sharing personally identifying information about yourself or others.
Media Permissions
If you are a journalist you must obtain permission from FW to report on any event or group discussion.
