BREED TradeReady Initiative

BREED TradeReady Initiative

Overview

The Blacktown Regional Economic Employment Development (BREED) Taskforce was formed in 2000 to stimulate economic and employment growth in Blacktown. Since then, they’ve expanded their core offerings to provide employment services across Western Sydney.

In collaboration with Women NSW, BREED is excited to announce the TradeReady program, designed to support Culturally and Linguistically Diverse women and their daughters for sustainable careers in trades. The project aims to foster confidence, adaptability, and emotional intelligence, helping participants enter trades and complete the first two years.

Recruitment to the program will occur in three phases:

  • Stream 1: Mothers and daughters from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (July-Oct 2025)
  • Stream 2: Women with limited experience (Sept-Dec 2025)
  • Stream 3: Women with transferable skills (Jan-Apr 2026)

You can read more about BREED on their website. We’ll be sure to share more about the programs once we hear more.

To apply, reach out to Felicity Zeiher, Return to Work Pathways Program Manager at BREED, at [email protected] or Emmanuel Martin, CEO of BREED, at [email protected].
