Women in IT Scholarship and Paid Placement, BizCover

BizCover is offering an scholarship opportunity for female IT and tech students, featuring a $5,000 AUD cash prize and a 3-month paid work placement. To apply, eligible students currently enrolled in a qualifying IT degree or diploma simply need to submit a 1,000-word essay about a past or future IT project, followed by a Zoom interview process. This initiative is designed to break down barriers for women in STEM, recognising their dedication and helping them kick-start a successful career in tech.

In 1000 words, describe an IT-related project you have previously been involved in, or wish to pursue after study. 

Who can apply? 

Female students that are currently studying in the following degrees (or the equivalence of these degrees) 

• Bachelor of Engineering 
• Bachelor of Data Science 
• Bachelor of Cyber Security 
• Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence 
• Bachelor of Business Information Systems 
• Bachelor of Computer Science and Technology 
• Bachelor of Design Computing 
• Bachelor of Advanced Computing 
• Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security) 
• Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security) 
• Certificate III in Information Technology 
• Certificate IV in Cyber Security 

Value and duration

The Scholarship will reward the winner with a once off payment of $AUD 5,000.
The winner will have the opportunity to work for BizCover in a 3-month paid work placement program.*

Selection Criteria

Video interviews over Zoom will be conducted to decide the scholarship winners amongst all applicants.

2. Academic achievement at school
3. Characteristics and communication skills
